Edward Dickinson | Gifted & Talented

Rivers is happy to welcome Edward Dickinson to our Gifted & Talented programme. Edward is a canoe slalom athlete, currently ranked 6th in the country in the K1 Men category, the top teenager in the UK. Currently 19 years old & impressively the 5th U23 in the country.

Edward is on the University of Nottingham coaching squad & get coaching whilst in Nottingham from a GB Coach. Kayak Men (K1 M) is his primary category but he also competes in the Canoe (C1 M) category in the Premier division ranking 26th. To support his progress Rivers will be giving his access to our gym facilities & offer support with his training where possible. When Edwards back from Nottingham he will be mainly training at Evesham Leisure Centre.

What is our Gifted & Talented programme? This is Rivers Fitness’s programme to sponsor elite athletes who live within the district and work with them in their training and recovery regimes. A number of local athletes have benefitted from this scheme and the volume of athletes in the area is fantastic to see! We have gold, silver & bronze benefits, depending on the level & sport.
